Artist/ Educator/ Organizer working in Community-Based Public Art
I first pursued art because I discovered that I could create fun and odd images that others seemed to enjoy when I shared them.
I now work on projects that use art making to bring people of all ages and backgrounds together to experience art and art making.
I am a graduate of OCAD University's BFA in Drawing & Painting program as well as York University's Community Arts Practice Certificate.
I am based in Toronto, Canada as an artist, coordinator and facilitator of community mural projects and programs with Mural Routes,
an arts educator at VIBE Arts, as well as on many freelance projects and programs as a coordinator, speaker, facilitator, curator, and artist.
I have had the opportunity to work with the following organizations and institutions:
Aga Khan Museum, Cultural Hotspot, Entelechy Arts, Friends of the Pan Am Path, Lakeshore Arts, Lewisham Education Arts Network, L Space Humber Galleries, Mural Routes, Nuit Blanche Toronto, OCAD U Student Gallery, The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Scarborough Arts , Street Art Toronto, South Asian Women's Centre, Toronto Catholic District School Board, Toronto Community Housing, Toronto District School Board, Toronto Public Library, and VIBE Arts for Children and Youth
